High School Education at the Upper Valley JVS

ENVIRONMENTAL OCCUPATIONS


The Environmental Occupations program prepares both male and female students for employment and advancement in the exciting and ever expanding fields of natural resource conservation, environmental education, park maintenance, outdoor recreation, and ranger services.


Students utilize the unique setting of a 180+ acre environmental education center for learning and training. This program provides the participants with the edge necessary to compete for entry-level jobs as well as prepare for two- or four-year college opportunities.

This program opens pathways to careers in the great outdoors.

Optional Advanced Education

Students enrolled in Environmental Occupations will have a head start in any technical school, college, or university. In fact, students who attend Hocking College can receive sixteen advanced placement credits.
