COMPUTER ASSISTED DRAFTING AND DESIGN
|
Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) is designed to provide students with the experience and education to develop the knowledge, attitudes, and skills required for a career in engineering with an emphasis on design. First-year students develop skills in board drafting and basic 2D and 3D CADD applications. Second-year students receive advanced CADD training and architectural design as well as 3D CADD modeling. Students develop competencies through hands-on experience in a state-of-the-art CADD lab which runs twenty-five stations of the latest version of AutoCad, Architectural Desktop, Inventor, and Revit. CADD provides juniors and seniors with the option of entering undergraduate engineering, architectural, industrial, or manufacturing technology programs with a “giant head start” over their classmates. Additionally, the CADD program provides students with the “real world” skills they need to work during and after college. |
