JVS Staff Honored for Years of Service

At the end-of-the year luncheon on June 7, Upper Valley JVS staff members were presented awards in recognition of their years of service to the district. On May 24 at its regularly-scheduled meeting, The JVS Board of Education "officially" honored the 48 staff and Board members for 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 35 years of service to the school district with a special resolution. The resolution read as follows:

WHEREAS, the Upper Valley Joint Vocational School District Board of Education recognizes the continuity of quality instruction is dependent upon board members and staff members providing continuous service, and

WHEREAS, some staff members and board members have provided 35 years of service, 25 years of service, 20 years of service, 15 years of service, 10 years of service or 5 years of service, and

WHEREAS, the Board wishes to express appreciation to these persons.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following persons be commended for 5 years of service:

Tara Berning, David Briggs, Stacie Courtney, Jennifer Cross, Mary DeVault, Gale Emerick, Megan Flanagan, Barb Heitkamp, Vicki Kipker, Herman Kiser, Michaella Quinter, Kyle Stager, and Alan Wuebker

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following persons be commended for 10 years of service:

Robert Allen, Greg Anderson, Richard Arnold, Sibyl Brewster, Susan Caudill, Joanne Detter, Teri Emerick, Joe Gilliam, Pam Ginn, Dorianne Harshbarger, Mary Ellen McKinley, Matt Rutledge, Randy Sailor, James Schnarre, Theresa Sherman, Nicki Vogel, Don Wawsczyk, and Tami Yahle

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following persons be commended for 15 years of service:

Michelle Bednarczyk, Eric Bowser, Patrick Gibson, Lona Jones, Deborah Jung, Michelle Lyman, Scott Naill, and Kim Reid

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following persons be commended for 20 years of service:

Kris Byrd, Sevilla Cooper, Gene Cordonnier, Terry Ervin, David Gerlach, and Cindy Graham

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following persons be commended for 25 years of service:

Beverly Holthaus

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following persons be commended for 35 years of service:

Lynn Ciriegio and Peggy Elsass

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Commendation be spread upon the official minutes of the Board of Education and a copy be sent to the persons honored for their service.

Five retiring staff members were also recognized at the luncheon. They are: Carol Baughman, Administrative Office Technology instructor; Gaye Frey, English instructor, Bonnie Miller, Hospitality & Facility Care paraprofessional, Kathy Ogg, Teacher Academy instructor; and Wade Wilhelm, Satellite Ag. Instructor—Fairlawn High School.
