Geothermal (Heat from the Earth):
Geothermal Heat Pumps (also known as Ground Source Heat Pumps) are the most energy efficient heat sources available at this time. Students will understand the design and installation of geothermal heat pumps available. Students will learn how heat energy is removed from the earth to heat our buildings. This course presents the most recent information and market developments in order to put any installer, engineer or architect in the position to design, select and install domestic and commercial geothermal heat pump system. Course content includes the reasons to use heat pumps, introduces basic theory and reviews the wide variety of available heat pump models and heat exchange methods.
